Sumbanese textiles often is referred in Indonesian as “kain yang memberi hidup” meaning textiles that brings life. With every woven piece depicting a story or a history to be given to the new owner or generation, one hopes that the stories of these motif and symbols can be shared.
The prints of our Indonesian textiles each individually woven by local artisans tells a story beyond the horizon. From cosmological beliefs to depiction of nature and dreams, this collection is aimed to voice the time-capsule heritage behind the textiles and design on urbanism & traditionalism.

The Packing Man ventures to directly discover artisans who are working independently from major consumer economies, to deliver products that honor the men and women who crafted them. We are advocates for traveling lightly and making quality garments that are designed to be cherished.
